You are Special

I have written/compiled a little hand-made book called

You are Special -You are God's precious Child'

This little book  (which I have compiled since suffering depression myself) is a collection of my thoughts about life and quotes (from various sources) which I have found meaningful, helpful and inspiring -
in the hope that they might give some comfort to others,
when life gets difficult.

It covers confidence, fear, anger, love, depression, friends, children,
bereavement, death etc.

The book costs £5 including postage (all profit goes to animal charities)
and can be ordered by phone or e-mail.
It can be posted directly to you or to a friend .

Here are some of the pages:-

YOU are SPECIAL

In all the world there is nobody like you.
Since the beginning of time there has
never  been  another  person exactly  like you.
Nobody  has your eyes, your hands,
your  hair,  your  smile,  your  voice,
your  feelings,  your  talents.
YOU’RE SPECIAL.
You are different from any other person
who has ever lived .
Nobody sees things just as you do.
  YOU’RE SPECIAL
And it is no accident that you are
because God has made you for a
special purpose.
He has a job for you .
Only one person has the right
combination of what it takes for this job
And  that  person is you.
YOU ARE SPECIAL

YOU ARE GOD’S PRECIOUS CHILD

Footprints

One night I had a dream...
I dreamt that I was walking
on the beach with God
and across the sky
flashed scenes from my life.
In the sand I noticed our footprints
but during the saddest scenes
there was only one set of footprints.
This bothered me and I questioned
God about it and said
‘God, you said that if I followed you,
you  would always walk with me,
but I noticed that during the most
troubled parts of my life
there is only one set of footprints.
God replied ‘My precious, precious  child,
I love you and I would never,
never leave you during yours times
of trials and suffering.
When you see only one set of footprints
it was then that
I carried you .

Our deepest fear is not that we
are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are
powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves—who am I to be
brilliant,  gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually — who am I not to be?
Your playing small does not
serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about
shrinking so that other people won’t feel
insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the
glory that is within us.
It is not just in some of us—
it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.
As we are liberated  from our own fear,
our presence  automatically liberates others.
